Our agronomy specialist has years of experience and stays current on issues that can impact your bottom line, assisting you in implementing an effective loss prevention program to keep your employees safe and protect both your customers’ crops and your interests.
- On-site Training – Our agronomist will come on-site and present an instructional program to your agronomy staff, using examples and photographs of actual claims. This presentation encompasses safety and liability concerns for a broad range of issues including anhydrous ammonia, custom application, seed sales, and operation of your agronomy facility and equipment.
- Continuing Education – CMIC provides Continuing Education Units (CEU) in some states for recertification of custom applicator licenses.
- Consultation – Our CMIC agronomist is available to consult on agronomy-specific issues.

Propane

- Policy and Procedure Development – We can provide you with a template to follow, or assist you in developing customized policy and procedures specific to your needs.
- Regulatory/Safety Issues - When you have a question or concern involving propane issues at your business, our Propane Specialist is as near as a phone call or an e-mail. We provide consultation on regulation compliance, safety standards, and share best industry safety practices.
- On-site Presentations – CMIC will bring our experience right to your employees. Our on-site presentations can be tailored to your needs, including topics like propane policy requirements, how to conduct visual inspection of propane tanks, or reinforcing best industry safety practices.
- Delivery Driver Refresher Training – Our Propane Specialist can provide your delivery drivers with their three-year refresher training.
- Customer Maintenance Tracking Program – Propane safety and regulatory compliance becomes easier with our Customer Maintenance Tracking Program. The CMIC computer program allows you to track each propane customer, including their address, tank location, and type and date of maintenance procedures performed. The program will also prompt you when it’s time to replace customers’ out-dated regulators.
- Assist With Duty to Warn Program – A key issue in propane litigation cases is the amount and type of safety information a customer received from the supplier prior to an incident. CMIC can advise you as to what types of information should be included in your Duty to Warn Program, including new customer information, annual mailings, commercial customers, and how best to document your program.

Transportation
CMIC’s Transportation Specialist, through years of experience working with large and small transportation companies, has developed comprehensive transportation-specific programs that will better ensure that your commercial vehicle programs meet the current federal, state, and local standards. We will work with your transportation operations management and drivers to help you develop a transportation program that meets both federal and state specific requirements.
- Driver Qualification File Setup Assistance and Review – CMIC’s Risk Consultants can assist you with the proper setup and review of the required Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver Qualification files, ensuring that your company is using and maintaining the proper forms and documentation. CMIC can provide you with the DOT-specified forms and applications, including the required annual Motor Vehicle Reports, at no charge, for all of your qualified drivers.
- Mock DOT Compliance Review and Reports – To help prepare you for a DOT Compliance Review, CMIC’s Transportation Specialist will come on-site and perform a comprehensive review of your driver and vehicle records, company policies and procedures as they relate to DOT-regulated personnel, operations, and vehicles. We will assist you in writing policies that cover a range of transportation issues including hiring of drivers, drug and alcohol testing, passenger, load securement, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance.
- Sample Vehicle Accident Review Policy – CMIC will provide you a sample policy that can be utilized as a guide in establishing the steps to be taken in ensuring the correct information is properly recorded, documented, and filed in the case of a vehicle accident. We will walk you and your drivers through the six steps drivers should follow at the scene of an accident.
- Licensing and Registration Assistance – CMIC’s Transportation Specialist can assist you in making contact with the correct state and federal agencies and help you with the filing of proper forms. We will work with you to ensure that you have the proper permits and licenses to meet your vehicle operations’ needs.
- Motor Vehicle Report Program – Customers who insure vehicles with CMIC will receive, at no charge, copies of employment-related Motor Vehicle Reports necessary to meet DOT requirements. CMIC will connect you with one of the nation’s leading state Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) agencies so you can request MVRs when you need them.
